Tuesday, February 02, 2010 – 33 days until marathon

It’s hard to believe that I’m going to give myself a rest day, with no long run over the past weekend. The weather forecast for Jonesboro and Little Rock are dramatically different for Saturday (with Little Rock being significantly warmer). My longest run of the year (also in Little Rock) was just over 16 miles in 2:28. It’s too early to tell, but I may head south in search of more favorable conditions. I also need to pick up some new shoes. I have some compression pants on order at Gearhead Outfitters, and I’m ready to start training in the gear I’ll be wearing on race day.
